At Design Spout, our work follows a phased process that brings clarity, creativity, and precision to every project. From initial discovery through final installation, we guide each step with intention—creating a seamless experience and a highly detailed result.

• 01 — Discovery & Project Alignment

  We begin by understanding your vision, lifestyle, and goals for the project. Through site visits and review of look and feel imagery, we gather feedback that shapes the direction of the design—this listening leads the way.

• 02 — Schematic Design

  We present a clear and cohesive design direction that establishes the overall vision. This phase includes space planning, preliminary layouts, design imagery, material concepts, and initial furnishings selections—defining both the aesthetic and functional approach.

• 03 — Design Development

  With the direction approved, we refine every detail of the design. This includes fully developed interior architectural drawings, custom millwork and cabinetry, lighting plans, material selections, and detailed furnishings—ensuring a cohesive and fully resolved design.

• 04 — Budgeting & Documentation

  We collaborate with your contractor to review drawings and align the design with project pricing. At the same time, we prepare detailed specifications and estimates for all furnishings, materials, lighting, and specialty items, followed by comprehensive construction documentation to guide execution.

• 05 — Project Oversight & Procurement

  During construction, we work closely with contractors and vendors to maintain design integrity. We conduct site visits, answer questions, and manage the procurement process—ordering, tracking, and coordinating delivery of all furnishings and design elements.

• 06 — Installation & Styling

  We oversee final installations, ensuring every element is executed as intended. Rugs and furniture are placed according to plan, styling is completed with care, we conduct a final walk thru and photograph the spaces. Your project is complete and you move in!
